What's not included in the estimate?
A refundable security deposit (often $1,500–$4,000 on bareboat), the optional damage waiver, flights, and crew gratuity on crewed charters (customarily 5–15% of the fee).
What local taxes and permits will I have to pay?
It varies a lot by country. Croatia charges a transit log of roughly EUR 3-5 per person per day; Greece has the TEPAI cruising tax and DEKPA transit log; the BVI charges a cruising permit per person per day plus National Parks fees; the Bahamas charges a cruising permit plus a passenger tax; and the Maldives levies a green tax of $6 per guest per night.
