The Klaipėda base
Klaipėda is Lithuania's only major port and the heart of its sailing scene. The charter fleet is based at Castle Harbour (Old Port marina), which has a yacht club and full servicing infrastructure. Klaipėda itself is a rewarding start and finish — a historic Hanseatic city with Germanic architecture, its landmark wrought-iron Clock Tower, and a lively maritime tradition including the annual Sea Festival.
Curonian Lagoon harbours
South from Klaipėda, the sheltered Curonian Lagoon runs behind the dune-covered Curonian Spit.

Baltic coast stops
North along the open coast lies Palanga, Lithuania's premier seaside resort, and Šventoji near the Latvian border. The coast is short and relatively unvaried, so many crews treat Lithuania as either a focused lagoon-and-Klaipėda long weekend or the launch point for a longer Baltic cruise northward.
Practicalities
The charter fleet is small, and many boats are offered skippered — book well ahead, as availability is limited. A recognised sailing licence is required for bareboat, as elsewhere in the EU. Entering the Curonian Lagoon passes through the Curonian Spit National Park, a protected UNESCO area; observe the local rules. Provisioning is easy in Klaipėda.
